THE BLACK IN BC COMMUNITY CONVENER PROJECT
The project seeks to better gauge and understand the needs and agency of Blacks and persons of African descent in British Columbia on issues relating to Anti-Black racism and a meaningful implementation of the International Decade for People of African Descent (IDPAD).
Who
The project is funded by the BC Provincial Government and convened by the African Arts and Cultural Community Contributor Services (AACCCS). AACCCS is excited to partner with black-led groups in BC on this project.
What and How
The project through focus groups and a survey will track the implementation of the 8 main themes in the International Decade, Canadian Action Plan (2017-2024) in British Columbia.
